Lyrics

Jaag uthe hain raaste
O raahi tere waaste
Teri zindagi tujhse har ghadi
Aur har kadam hai ye poochhti
Raahi dekh raha hai tu kya
Har har disha hai rasta
Bol tera hai kaun sa rasta
Raahi re o raahi re kisi ko nahi hai pata
Raahi re o raahi re kaha ja raha hai bata

Ek rasta kaanto ka hai
Ek rasta phool ka
Tujhpe hai kaun se tu raste ko chune
Ek rasta hai soch ka ek rasta bhool ka
Tujhpe hai tera dil ab kya kahe kya sune
Hoga tera hi ye faisla
Hai sochna ya bhoolna
Bol tera hai kaun sa rasta
Raahi re o raahi re kisi ko nahi hai pata
O Raahi re o raahi re kaha ja raha hai bata

Aasaaniyaa mil sakti hain tujhko zamaane se
Par zara ye bata jeena hai kyun yun tujhe
Aazaadiyaa tu paayega khud ko hi paane se
Phir bata koi dar mehsoos ho kyun tujhe
Hoga tera hi ye faisala aasaaniyaa aazaadiyaa

Bol tera hai kaun sa rasta
Raahi re o raahi re kisi ko nahi hai pata
Raahi re o raahi re kaha ja raha hai bata

Lyrics

Suraj meri khidki jo hai jhakta
Kirano ko jaise mil gaya hai rasta
Hasti hui aa gai O O O
Kamrein mein jitni neend thi ud gai
Umeed jate jate vapas mud gai
Laut aai hai phir yehin o o

Jaane yeh sab kya hai
Jo bhi hai naya sa hai

Pairo(naino) tale dil kho gaya
YEh aaj kya ho gaaya

Din yuhi badlane ko hai
Zindagi sawarein ko hai
Jane kyon yeh mujhko hai laga
lachki hai jo dil ki daali

Kaliyan abb hai khilne wali
Huale haule paas aake
Dheme se gaayen hawaein
Jaane yeh sab kya hai
Jo bhi hai naya sa hai
Pairon tale dil kho gaya
Yeh aaj kya ho gaya

Sach bari bari horahe sab khwab hai
Panchi udan bharne ko betaab hai
Aankhon mein hai aasman o o o

Resham ke jaise narmi hai har baat mein
Ujle hai din aur chandani hai raat mein
HAr lamha hai meraban O O

Jo bhi hai naya sa hai

Pairon tale dil kho gaya

Ho jab hawaien sunati hai
Tere meri pyaar ki dastaan

Sapno ka yeh mausam hai
Dil se dil ka sangam hai
Sulge sulge hothon per
Halki halki sabnam hai

Lyrics

Yeh zindagi bhi kya kya humko dekhlati hai
Sapno ki dhundli raah mein
Yeh Zindagi bhi Humein kahan le ke aajati hai
Ek anjani si chaah mein

Jane humko kya paana hai
Socho kya hai apni manzil

Samjhane kab mana hai
Dekho karta zid hai yeh dil
Choone hai Taare ise
Chahiye Saaare ise

Yeh zindagi bhi kitni baatein keh jati hai
Ek seedhi saadhi baat mein
Yeh zindagi bhi kyun itne khwaab sajati hai
Har suni suni raat mein

Khawabon mein koi armaan hai
Poocho dil se armaan kya hai
Muskil hai ya woh aaaasaan hai
sun lo dil to yeh kehta hai

Choone hai Taare ise
Chahiye Saaare ise

Jo palko ke tale
Hai apne sapne leke chale
HAi kehdo woh chale sambhal ke

Na karna koi gile
Kahin jo thokar kahin to lage
Ke sapne tute aason chalke

Jo palko ke tale
Hai apne sapne leke chale
HAi kehdo woh chale sambhal ke

Na karna koi gile
Kahin jo thokar kahin to lage
Ke sapne tute aason chalke

Lyrics

Bagiya bagiya balak bhage
Tettli phir bhi haath na lage

Is pagle ko kaun bataye
dhoond raha jo tu jag mein
koi jo paaye
maan mein hi paaye

Sapno se bhare naina
To neend hai chaina

Sapno se bhare naina
To neend hai chaina

Aise dagar koi agar
jo apnaye
har raah ke
woh anat pe raste hi paaye

Dhoop ka rasta ho
Phele jalaye
Mod to aaye
Chaaau na aaye
Raahi jo chalta hai

chalta hi jaaye
koi nahi hai jo kahin use samjhaye

Sapno se bhare naina
To neend hai chaina

Sapno se bhare naina
To neend hai chaina

Naina re

{Sargam}

Door se hi sagar jise har koi maane
Pani hai woh ya reth hai yeh kaun jaane
Jaise ke din se rain alag hai
Sukh hai alag hai aur chain alag hai
Per yeh jo dekhe woh nain alag hai

Chain to apna sukh hai paraye

Lakshya is a Hindi movie directed by Farhan Akhtar. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri and Boman Irani. Roshan plays the role of Lieutenant (later Acting Captain) Karan Shergill, who leads his team to victory over the Pakistani infiltrators on peak 5179 along the border. It is a fictional story based on the historical events of the 1999 Kargil Conflict. The film was screened at the Marrakech International Film Festival.

Synopsis

Karan Shergil (Roshan) is a young man who has no actual goal in mind or plans for his future. He represents those urban youth in modern India, who have money but little ambition or purpose in their lives. His father is a businessman; his brother is a successful individual living in America, but Karan is drifting along. His girlfriend, Romi (Zinta), a student activist who espouses fashionable causes out of wellmeaning sincerity, tells him he needs to find a goal in life. When a friend announces he is going to join the Army, Karan applies for the Indian Military Academy as well, and enrolls in the Indian Military Academy despite dissent from his parents.

Karan's first days at the IMA are a disaster. Because he is undisciplined and unused to a spartan existence, he keeps getting into trouble at the academy. Upset, he leaves the academy without permission, sneaking over the wall at Last Post. However, the girl he has been pursuing, Romi, breaks off their relationship because he quit even this attempt at being an adult. His father also expresses displeasure at his action, despite his mother urging him to join the family business. Karan finally comes to terms with his situation and decides to face his demons. He returns to the IMA, takes his punishment, and becomes a focused, disciplined cadet leader, graduating as a cadet officer.

Lt. Karan (the starting rank for all new commissioned officers in the Indian Army) is posted to the 3rd Battalion of the Punjab Regiment, commanded by Col. Sunil Damle (Amitabh Bachchan), and handles his responsibilities well. From an immature teenager to a mature officer, he finally decides the essence of his life or his goal - 'Lakshya'. His Lakshya is now his unit's target - a mountain peak - known to be occupied by the Pakistani Army.

The movie depicts Karans transformation- it shows how the Army, and its disciplined, selfless and spartan existence moulds an impressionable young individual accustomed to a hedonistic lifestyle, into a mature human being who can think and act for himself.

Romi is now engaged to a businessman friend and has, for all intents moved on with her life.

Karan encounters Romi, who is now a war correspondent and has come to the battle zone to cover the conflict, and it becomes clear that Karans responsibilities take precedence over their relationship.

As the conflict develops into a raging war, Colonel Damle is told by his Brigadier that 3 Punjab has 48 hours to achieve its goal of seizing the peak assigned to them, or the unit will be relieved. It is now a matter of regimental "izzat" (pride) that 3 Punjab seize the peak, come what may. Karan & his fellow soldiers skilfully assault the objective, routing the enemy, but not without cost. The unit has several casualties, Karan's friend Akbar, a fellow officer is killed in the clash.

Karan is now assigned to a commando team (ghatak in Indian Army parlance) which is tasked with climbing a tall cliff (mentioned at 800 feet at one point, 1000 feet in another) to flank the Pakistani sangars (rock fortifications) and regain the hill. On the night before the attack, Karan calls his father and the two are reconciled.

The team assaults the objective and seizes it after a realistically filmed assault- with several of the unit falling in the grim, no holds barred, close quarters battle. The survivors then have another task left to them; they have to face determined counter-attacks from the Pakistani regulars who seek to re-take the objective when they realise that the Indians who routed them, are yet to be reinforced. The Indians manage to hold on and repulse the attack.

Karan then moves on to the hill limping to the top of the mountain, unpacking the Indian tricolor Akbar wanted to carry, and plants it on top of the hill, then fires a flare, to the relieved joy of Colonel Damle. The movie ends with Karan marrying Romi.

It has been suggested that significant elements of Karans achievements and character are based on the different exploits of actual Indian soldiers during the Kargil conflict. Overall, the movie follows the Indian movie template of having songs interspersed amongst the narrative, however it was widely praised for its highly nuanced portrayal of a young mans coming of age, while also making a war movie with well directed action content, without resorting to jingoism or hyperbole.

Lucky is a 2005 Hindi-language film depicting the story of two lovers in war-torn Russia. The fairy tale-like story revolves around Lucky (Sneha Ullal), a young girl who studies in school, and Aditya (Salman Khan), a middle-aged bachelor, who is also the son of the Indian Ambassador to Russia. Lucky meets Aditya when a civil war has broken out in Russia. They have to escape the place and struggle to live. There's absolutely 'no time for love'.

Plot

Mr. Sekhri is the Indian Ambassador in Russia, and his Chief Assistant is Mr. Negi. Sekhri is widowed with a son named Aditya, while Negi is married and has brought his wife, Anjali, and two daughters, Lucky and Dhara, with him to Russia. One day while going to school, Lucky's bicycle has a flat tire, and a youg Russian attempts to rape her. Lucky manages to escape by hitting the Russian with her lunch box and hide in a parked car, and the molester is chased away by the car's owner - who is none other than Aditya. Unaware of his "cargo", Aditya drives the car to meet his father, until he is stopped at a check-post. That's when he finds out that Lucky is on board. Then terrorists strike out with bombs and guns, and chaos breaks lose, the telephone lines are down, and there is no electricity. Aditya and Lucky manage to escape and hide in an isolated graveyard. Meanwhile, Sekhri and Negi recruit a private investigator, retired Colonel Pindi Das Kapoor, to locate their children, which he agrees to do so. Before he can locate them, Aditya finds out that Lucky has consumed contaminated water, is poisoned, and so before the Colonel can rescue them, Adi and Lucky leave the graveyard and search for a doctor. Adi comes across a funeral and there he meets a doctor's son, who is seen as a crook because before he takes them to his father, he makes Aditya give up his car, which Adi loves and named, 'Queen Tullu". At the doctor, Lucky is given medicine and Adi is told to pray that she lives. Fortunately, Lucky wakes up. Unfortunately for the pair, Russian soldiers are searching every house for terrorists. Since Lucky and Aidtya don't have any identification, the doctor forces them to leave out of a trap door in his roof. It is a blizzard outside and Lucky is still sick. The pair take refuge in an abandoned museum. In the meantime, the Adi's father the Indian Ambassador of Russia is getting planes to transport all Indians back to India. Many are in dismay, including Lucky's father, who loves his daughter very much and tells the Ambassador he will saty in Russia. But the Ambassador convinces him to leave with his wife and other daughter Dhara. Colonel P.D finally finds Lucky and Adi in the museum. They are forced to disguise themselves as Russian soldiers (with Lucky as a man with a mustache) and march to a town but while marching are ambushed in the process by the terrorists. Adi and Lucky are taken to a concentration camp ( P.D is nowhere found) where it is revealed that lucky is a girl when the evil head terrorist slaps her. He almost opens her shirt but Adi rescues her and the soldiers make a breakout. PD is found again, he was in disguise again, and drives a huge cargo truck away from the scene with Lucky and Adi on top. A terrorist manages to get on the truck and pulls PD out of the steering wheel. Adi, finding that PD is not driving anymore and none is driving, jumps with Lucky to a snowbank. Adi is also injured, as a bullet skimmed his arm while climbing onto the cargo truck. He and Lucky start their trek toward a city, where lots of desperate people are trying to board onto a train. He pushes Lucky onto the train, saying that the guard said there was only room for one. He then tries running after the train, but it is too fast for him. He collapses. Lucky is devastated to be separated from him and tries again and again to open the train door, her fingers and nails bloody in the process. She wails and wails until a little boy uses his sling shot to break a window which Lucky climbs out of and walks back to Adi. She finds him where he collapsed and he wakes up. She reveals that she loves him and he replies saying I know. Then PD returns again, with Adi's car the Queen Tullu. He says to not ask how he got it.

Lucky's sister Dhara has a four leaf clover that Lucky gave her in the beginning of the movie. Dhara asks God to give Lucky all her luck so she will be okay. Dhara is at the airport clutching the clover, about to give up, when the Queen Tullu pulls up and PD, Adi, and finally Lucky get out. Lucky is reunited with her family and Adi is with his dad the Ambassador. PD stays behind and says that he will ship over the Queen Tullu for Adi. Lucky and Adi start to board the plane and Adi says, "Shall we go home?" Lucky replies, "Sure, but your house not mine." They continue to board the plane and all ends happily.

Lage Raho Munna Bhai was an Indian musicalcomedy film released in 2006. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, it was the second film in the popular Munna Bhai series of Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi reprised their roles as Munna Bhai and his sidekick, Circuit respectively. Most of the cast from the first film Munnabhai M.B.B.S. also returned, albeit playing different characters.

The film follows the amiable eponymous underworld don as he begins to 'see' the spirit of Gandhi. Inspired by his interactions with 'Gandhi', he starts preaching and practicing the Gandhian principles of Satyagraha (truth) and Ahimsa (non-violence).

Lage Raho Munna Bhai had a strong cultural impact in India, popularising Gandhism under Munna Bhai's notion of Gandhigiri. As noted by critics, the film has "stirred the popular imagination", leading to a number of Gandhigiri protests in India and in the United States: "For generations born after Gandhi's assassination, Munnabhai, the eponymous hero of the film, has rendered “Gandhism” passé and “Gandhian” arcane. The new buzzword is “Gandhigiri”, a value, and valuable, addition to the lexicon of a culture suffused with every abominable kind of “Dadagiri” and “Goondagiri”.

It was praised by the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, who stated (using Gandhi's nickname, "Bapu" or father) that the film "captures Bapu's message about the power of truth and humanism." The film was generally well received by critics and at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, was declared a "blockbuster",and was the recipient of a number of awards. It is the first Hindi film to be shown in the United Nations.

Plot

Munna Bhai, the amiable underworld don, is in love with the voice of Jahnavi, a radio jockey. He manages to get on her show by winning a contest held to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti — Gandhi's birth anniversary. He presents himself as a professor of history, specialising in the life and philosophy of Gandhi. After the radio-show, Munna and Jahnavi strike up a friendship and she invites him to give a talk on Gandhism to a group of senior citizens living in her house, whom she has adopted as part of her family.

Munna, now in a fix, decides to lock himself up in a library and read as much as he can on Gandhi. After three days of continuous studies, he starts "seeing Gandhi" (or a ghost or spirit of him). He is able to converse with 'Gandhi', who agrees to help him out during the talk. Munna confesses this to his sidekick, Circuit. Circuit cannot see Gandhi but plays along, unwilling to tell Munna that he might be hallucinating. When Munna gives the talk at Jahnavi's house, everyone is impressed.

Meanwhile, Lucky Singh, an unscrupulous businessman who had used Munna's services in the past, now intends to acquire Jahnavi's house. He sends away Munna, Jahnavi and the elders of her family on a free trip to Goa. When they return, Lucky has illegally captured the house.

Munna, taking the advice of 'Gandhi', decides to reclaim the house through non-violent means. He protests peacefully outside Lucky's house. He also begins featuring regularly on Jahnavi's radio-show, taking calls and helping people solve their problems by the use of Satyagraha (truth) and Ahimsa (non-violence). In return, he urges his radio-listeners to send Lucky flowers until he mends his ways and returns the house to its rightful owners.

Lucky tries in vain to bring an end to the protests, eventually threatening to reveal Munna's real identity to Jahnavi. 'Gandhi' advises Munna to confess the truth to Janhavi himself. Jahnavi, on learning that Munna had lied about being a professor, leaves him. Munna is distraught, though 'Gandhi' tells him to remain patient and continue with the protests.

Lucky, having now tried everything to stop Munna, devises a final plan. He calls a press conference where he lets everyone know that Munna can 'see' Gandhi. Munna proudly accepts, and to prove himself, he agrees to answer five questions on Gandhi's life. If he is able to converse with Gandhi, he should be able to answer the questions. He fails to answer the last three questions, upon which a doctor, planted by Lucky, explains to everyone that Munna is hallucinating. Everyone dismisses Munna as mentally unwell. He is forced to accept his condition and decides to leave the city, wanting only to speak to Jahnavi one last time.

He turns up at the radio-station, but she has already left for the day. Being drunk, he decides to talk to her "on-air". In the studio, he gets a call from a girl, Simran, who explains her predicament — her Vedic astrological makeup is believed to be devastating for marriage. Her father hid this from the groom's highly superstitious father. She now worries that on learning the truth, the groom's father would call off the marriage.

Munna advises her to tell the truth. She does, and the wedding is called off as she had feared. Munna ends up at the marriage. It turns out that Simran is the daughter of Lucky. The reason Lucky had wanted Janhavi's house was that the groom's father, after consulting his astrologer, believed that the house would be perfect for the future of the newly married couple. Munna tries to disprove the astrologer's claims as bogus. When the groom's father refuses to be convinced, he has Circuit hold a gun to the astrologer's head. The astrologer faints with fear, and Munna shows everyone how he was incapable of predicting his own future. The groom decides to go ahead with the marriage against his father's wishes. Munna and Circuit are nevertheless, arrested.

Jahnavi turns up at prison and reconciles with Munna — while he had lied about being a professor of Gandhism, he had imbibed Gandhi's principles and had done enough to spread his teachings. Lucky also turns up and bails him out. He hands back the keys to Jahnavi's house.

By the end of the movie, Simran and her fiancee are happily married, Kkhurana drops his superstitions, Jahnavi and Munna get married, and Circuit is adopted by one of the elderly couples.
